My husband has medical issues that require he sleep elevated? At home we have a motorized bed and he's perfectly comfortable in a recliner, but few hotel rooms we find these days have recliners. The Ritz Carlton will move a chair into the room upon request, but often times, it is LESS than ideal. Any other thoughts/recommendations would be helpful.

Could your husband use extra pillows to help raise his upper body for sleeping.

Otherwise, use a travel agent to help you locate a hotel that have motorized beds.

I bought a huge wedge pillow on Amazon. If you're traveling by airplane, you can't take it, but if you're traveling by car that's probably the best thing to take with you.

If you are flying, mail the elevated wedge pillow, or order one online and have it shipped to the hotel, with your name and(guest), and notify the hotel you will be expecting a package.... hotels have extra pillows, and sometimes couches that you can use to prop up...anyway you need to. Make sure it has an elevated toilet, and grabrails in the bathrooms. Do ask for the handicapped room. La Quinta Inns may have some as well. Do your homework online, and start calling..Let them know this is WHAT YOU NEED... ask for AAA rates, senior rates, rates for the handicapped, geriatrics, right handed people, left handed people,,,,sorry ambien is kicking in....
