I'd like to start mom on stage 2 meat baby food. Can you recommend a healthy and delicious brand? Thanks

My husband had to be on pureed foods for quite a while, before he finally graduated to just soft foods. I am by no stretch of the imagination a cook, let alone a good cook, so I would buy the prepackaged turkey/chicken with gravy, or meatloaf, that was precooked, and all I had to do was heat it up in the microwave, and then puree it in my Ninja Storm. It was easy, and I know was much more tasty than baby food. And if you don't want it completely pureed, just don't leave it the blender as long. Good luck.

I personally think that baby food tastes horrible to an adult palate and there really is no reason to use it, there are infinite other protein sources that are much simpler

- protein powders added to smoothies, custards, puddings, yogurt, soft scrambled eggs
- for non dairy/vegan options silken tofu and vegan protein powders, beans, and legumes are also great protein sources that can be pureed in soups, chili, dahl, refried beans
- and if you really miss the umami of meat things like stews, soups and chili that include it are easy to whiz smooth with a hand blender.

Have u ever tasted meat babyfood? Its been 35 years but it was awful back then. The constancy was like eating liver. It seemed to coat ur tongue. They are bland. Maybe stage 2 will have more flavor?

Why don't u buy a jar of each brand u can find and experiment. I am pretty sure when I fed my daughter the meat it was with some vegetable or applesause with it. I would ask her doctor if she really needs meat. There are protein shakes she could drink. Actually as humans we don't need meat. We can get protein in other ways.

I would purée cooked meat rather than buy baby food.

Or serve other protein based foods. Protein doesn’t have to revolve around meat.

My uncle’s nursing home puréed his meals.

Baby food is not really a good idea for an adult because it lacks the proper amount of fiber, protein and fat for an adult. I am curious why you want to feed your husband baby food when there better alternatives? Baby food isn’t going to provide proper nutrition for an adult.
