sorry, don't know what HDIS is. (maybe I need help!:) I would talk to a social worker and see what they say. My mom's are provided by hospice. Is 129.29 a month, a week?

How many are in the box for 129.00? I found HDIS to be on the high side. Pargirl HDIS is Home Delivery Incont. Service. They advertise all over senior sites. Let me do some checking but need to know how many you get.

Medicare / Medicaid pays for my mother's incontinence supplies. I get them from a local famiky owned pharmacy with a doctor's perscription.

Yes sams is a great deal. You have to be a member but the 45.00 yearly membership fee is worth it because in the long run you save so much. PCVS I am just courious what state you are in. Because medicaid is different in each state. I know medicare alone wont pay for these types of supplies, or if I am wrong could someone let me know. We are trying to stretch moms money as far as we can. This info could help us. Thanks in advance to everyone for your time on this forum.

Please note that Medicare does not pay for incontinence supplies https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/incontinence-and-adult-diapers.html

The exception would be if the person is on Hospice.

The main thing that is important is that the product is comfortable, thus it is worth the cost. I know down the road there will come a time where my Dad will be using such products on a regular basis, so I will need to check around on cost. Glad this subject was brought up.

Well, maybe it's Medicaid that's paying for it, but the pharmacy has to have a contract with my mother's Medicare Advantage insurance company for denial of coverage so I know Medicare Advantage insurance companies have their greedy hands in there somewhere.

Freqflyer. You mention that "the product is comfortable". Do you have a specific brand in mind?

As far as comfort is concerned I can tell you from experience that there is no difference in comfort between the Depends and the Sam's club brand or the Assure Brand at Walmart. My mother has used all three types and says they all fit and feel the same. Now if a person wants to pay a bit more ( sure most of us don't ) but say for younger woman who may need them and want them to fit more like a underwear depends has a brand called Silhouette that fit tighter and are smoother under your clothes. They cost more but if you are a business woman who needs smooth lines and protection they are worth it. Frequentflyer for men the guards that fit into the disposable underwear are great and make changing easier. They cost less and can be changed out when wet without changing the whole underwear and having to remove all the other clothes. Hope this helps.

By the way I just learned of a program in Pennsylvania for any who may live there, that may help pay for these and other necessary supplies. Here is where to find information about it. palcaregivers.

Guess I'll just stick to getting mine at Rite-Aid since comfort seems to be the same. I got some samples from HDIS and they all (different brands) seemed to be the same as far as comfort. Some had thicker pads which was really the only difference.
