Craving sleep, I agree. All the others are easier after you get enough sleep. I have years and years of experience to back up my comment. lol

I'd agree that getting sleep is vital. I'm also learning it's a challenge because as a relative newcomer to caregiving, either the act of caregiving or the emotional fallout from it have totally thrown my sleep patterns out of whack.

Sleep makes a huge difference in being able to deal with everything else. Sometimes you just have to put a hard stop to things and let your body recharge. Otherwise the other stuff won’t get done well.

A person on a health-oriented podcast I was listening was saying that the only New Yea's resolution most people need to make is to get enough sleep, as once you do that other things become much easier. That makes sense. In fact, I'm following my own advice and going to bed now! ;)

I have to agree with the others, getting rest makes everything more bearable.

Dear meallen,

Thinking of you. I know its hard but try and sleep a little more. When the days bleed into the weeks and months and years, even all the little things feels overwhelming and unbearable. I can relate because I got to the point where I didn't even want to get out of bed some days. Please know we are all here to listen. Sending you hugs.

Thank you all. I agree with both "which ever you are dealing with a the moment" and "get more sleep" (g)

Waking up "refreshed" is good sleep. Sometimes I can sleep a lot but wake up exhausted.
